Introduction to Welding Processes - Part 1

Learn the current welding processes and welding safety, and be able to produce quality welds using Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick).  The Intro to Welding class consists of six (6) classes for a total of 18 hours of instruction.

All 18-hour welding classes are $275.00 and payment is due at the time of registration. You will need to create an account and verify your email in order to register for a program.

*Students must provide their own safety glasses with shields.  Community-use welding helmets, gloves, and welding jackets are available, but students are more than welcome to bring their own welding helmet and safety gear

*Not a COE accredited program

WARNING: Welding produces electrical and magnetic fields that can affect the function of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), therefore, no person with a pacemaker or ICD will be permitted to take a welding class at DACC.

If you have specific questions about the class or curriculum, the Welding Coordinator will be happy to speak with you.
