Funding Opportunities

To keep tuition costs low, DACC has chosen to not participate in Title IV financial aid programs such as Pell Grants and Federal Student Loans, however, there are a number of funding opportunities available through several sources for qualified individuals.

Each source of aid has its own specific guidelines to determine eligibility as outlined below.

DACC Payment Plans - DACC offers all students an interest-free payment plan. DACC will set up a 4-payment system to spread the cost of tuition over the span of the program. The first payment (one-fourth) is due on or before the first day of class. The remaining three payments will be spaced evenly over the time remaining on the class calendar.

Talent Ready Grant – The Ohio Department of Higher Education has awarded Delaware Area Career Center funds to assist qualifying students with grants up to $3000 to help pay for tuition. The eligible programs are the same as listed above for the Ohio Talent Ready Grant. To qualify, students must:

  • be an Ohio resident,

  • register with Selective Service (if male 18-26 years old),

  • enroll in a career development program at DACC,

  • submit DACC's Grant Application.

Ohio Work Ready Grant – The Ohio Department of Higher Education has awarded Delaware Area Career Center with funds to award qualifying students with grants up to $2000 to help pay for tuition of the following programs. To qualify, students must:

Second Chance Grant DACC participates in a program to award grants of up to $3000 for students who have “stopped out” (stopped attending) a college or university before receiving a degree or certificate of completion. To qualify, students must:

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) can help fund eligible job seekers with educational programs or on-the-job training to prepare them for in-demand careers. For more information and to apply, contact Ohio Means Jobs in your county of residence.

Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) is an innovative program that can help youth/young adults (ages 14-24), who are committed to achieving employment and training goals, build career paths, find employment, get the training and supportive services necessary to enter into a career. OOD Logo

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is committed to helping students with disabilities invest in their futures and pursue their passions.

To take advantage of the OOD Education Support Funds, individuals must be:

  1. eligible for vocational rehabilitation services and

  2. participating in a college, trade school, apprenticeship, or other credentialing program.

Veterans Administration (VA)- Veterans can visit the VA website to check their eligibility and apply for education benefits. Veterans may also call 1-888-GIBILL1 (1-888-442-4551) to check their eligibility and apply. VA benefits can be applied to career development programs at DACC.

Horatio Alger Logo

The Horatio Alger Association awards Career & Technical Education (CTE) Scholarships to support students who demonstrate critical financial need and are committed to pursuing higher education.

The CTE scholarship application will open March 15, 2025.

UET Logo

Union Education Trust - Employees of the State of Ohio can apply for Vocational Education Program vouchers to assist with class and program tuition.

Student can apply online or download the application on the UET website. For more information or questions, contact UET at 866-436-7900 or by email at support@uedtrust.org. 

Private Scholarships - Various employers, foundations, and civic organizations offer scholarships that are eligible to DACC Adult Education students. Please contact Melanie Colley, at 740-201-3287 to discuss other options not listed above.
